The EZGO Inductive Throttle Sensor is a hall effect sensor used in the floorboard to indicate the position of the throttle to the controller. The controller then uses this information and determines how much energy to release to the motor. A small metal linkage rod activates a micro switch and plunges into this sensor when you depress the pedal. This causes a voltage fluctuation on the output post. The further you push the pedal, the more that voltage changes. The controller supplies about fourteen volts to power this unit but only gets in the neighborhood of 2.5 volts back from the ITS at full throttle. So make sure that this is your issue and not a controller or broken wire before ordering. This golf cart throttle sensor is used on the 1994 and newer EZGO TXT models and the Medalist and Workhorse models that were 36 volts. However, the newer TXT and RXV models that are 48 volts are not compatible with this part. Call Buggies Unlimited for a great deal today.
